Alvin, you driving people away

'Alvin, you behave more to be a stumbling block rather than soul-winner. You ruined other people's work. Because of your hard teaching, many of them move away from church, even they become hate Christianity, you offended them too much. There are many ways in preaching. You should first try to make friends with them, then ask about their life, if they had problems that need to be solved, then you start to help them and little by little preach something to them. This method is 75% give you more success for soul-winning.'

Please allow me to tell you a story

There is a big church with thousands of people every Sunday service, let's say 5000 people gathered together. Then the pastor realized something not right there. Many people go home from the church without getting anything. Their lives stay the same, no difference between before and after the service. They prayed without any expectation that God will answer them. Some of people got something from the message delivered in that Sunday, but then, the day after tomorrow, they already forget everything they got.

So the pastor decided to do selection between the fake believers (goats/bad seeds) and genuine believers (sheep/good seeds).' Then at the next Sunday, 5000 people gathered together again and have the normal fellowship. There is nothing special happened, the pastor still preach with the same style, everything is the same. Until 15 minutes before it closed, then come people with guns, looked like terrorists broke into the church. Nobody can escape, they are terrified. One by one of the attendants questioned, 'Will you reject Jesus or die?' They separate the ones who chose to reject and the ones who chose to die. After all of the 5000 people were interogated, then the chief of that terrorists said to the pastor, 'Pastor, now you can be sure about your sheep and your goats.

My friends, from that story, how many sheep you think that pastor will find? More than 50%, 80%?

That's just a story, but Bible wrote something almost similar with that story, written in John 6. To make it short, it tells us about Jesus fed 5000 people and after He satisfied them, Jesus withdrew to the mountain by himself. The next morning these people gather again around him to expect that Jesus would satisfy them again. Jesus knew their motive, and this time He didn't give them physical food anymore. He gave them the real food. He said, 'I am the bread that came down from heaven.' He then continued, 'Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.'

On hearing it, many of his disciples said, 'This is a hard teaching. Who can accept it?' From that time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him. How many left, my friends? Only the Twelve remained, then Jesus also said plainly to them, 'You do not want to leave too, do you?' Simon Peter answered him 'Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We believe and know that you are the Holy One of God.'

Let me ask you something?

How many percent is that? 100%, 75%, 50%? Did not Jesus show them love of God? Why they move away? Is Jesus also stumbling block for losing his own disciples? Was He the one who responsible for the souls of those disciple who turned back? Hadn't Jesus done something good before, satisfied their need, serving them, preaching to them Good News. But still, the disciples turned away. Is it Jesus' mistake or their own freewill that make them leave?

The same thing also happen between me and you. It is my mistake or your freewill that make you leave? You want to be saved, to be in heaven, but you can't bear if Jesus asked you to sacrifice the things you enjoyed so much.

My friends, 50% success with A method, 75% success with B method..That's rubbish, that's your own judgment, not from God.

  • Have you ever realized that winning souls is God's business?
  • Have you ever thought that God love them more than you?
  • Have you ever thought that it is not you might, eloquent, ability that make those sinner repent?

It is God, my friends.

He loves these people more than you. He wants them to know Him more than you. He just need somebody who are willing to be used by Him to tell these people about Him. He is the one, who put something in your brain, in your mouth what to say, what to speak. You don't have to manufacture anything, just go and talk to them. (God ministering to me right now too). Whether they will repent or not, it is their freewill, but you have done your work, God's work. Freewill, decision point that's something important.

For example: you are a young man, have a beautiful, sexy girlfriend. You are just a church-goer, unmarried, but already lived together, even do sins together. Until some time, Jesus appeared to you, He asked you to follow Him, leave everything behind you, follow and obey Him only. Deep down in your heart, you know that if you followed Jesus, you must stop sinning, stop doing immorality with your girlfriend, even worse, maybe you will have to break up with her. You then think, you will lose much of your pleasure, enjoyment. This decision point is the most important time in your lifetime. Because from this point, your eternity are decided. Many people have come to this point, but many of them also refused to drop their pleasure, enjoyment, etc. You are not willing to sacrifice them, you are too afraid to live without it.

Have you read in the Scripture about a rich young man, Jesus told him to sell his possessions and give to the poor, then come and follow Him. What that young man did? He went away sad, because he had great wealth. If he kept like that till his death, will he be in heaven though everything he did was so righteous (in human judgment)?

Or while Paul preached to Festus and King Agrippa, Festus interupted him by shouting, 'You are out of your mind, Paul! Your great learning is driving you insane.' And then King Agrippa also said to Paul, 'Do you think that in such a short time you can persuade me to be a Christian?'

Decision point...I will always bring people to their decision point in short or long time, I labor for that. That's my work. But, salvation is personal. Your decision is your freewill. I need to respect you. You don't like it, go and leave, I shook the dust from my feet and your blood is upon your head. I am innocent. I am looking for another souls. You like and received it, I will say to you, 'Peace be with you, Peace of God, that you can't find in this world, only given by Jesus (John 14:27).' Peace that satisfied all the burden, sorrow in your heart, that always condemning you about your guilt. If you still have that, you need Jesus, my friend. You need to make decision right now.

You want to enjoy life a bit longer..that's your freewill. But soon or later, you have to do this if you want to go to heaven. You don't want to surrender to your Creator, who know the best for you. That's fine with me, but worst for you.

Your fear, your doubt...that's from devil. He puts fear and doubt in your heart, he wants you not to give your life to Jesus, because you are his prisoner, once you invite Jesus with your whole heart, surrender 100% to Him, you are paid for the most precious price, Jesus' blood. You are no longer a prisoner, but Children of God. What you need to do is just boldly invite Jesus into your heart, and ready to follow Him no matter what He wants you to be. Difficult? Let me encourage you a bit.

I would like you to know statistic, every seconds how many people died in this world: man and woman, young and old, rich and poor? Is any of them expect that they will die in the next 5 minutes, or even right now, in this seconds? How about if tomorrow I see you frozen in the coffin, die without Jesus? While today you have chance to invite Jesus but you didn't use it. The same thing applied for me, even I can harvest 1000 souls a day, heaven still in lost, because every second more than 1000 people died around the world, and most of them don't have Jesus in their life.

I cried out to my Father to send more worker. My friends, who still a sinner. give your life to Jesus and my friends, who has experienced Jesus in your life, don't you care about people around you, all of them are salvable, take heart, I am also learning for that. (God also ministering to me, right now. He also wants me to move a step forward).

Your family, your friends, your relatives, your instructors, your neighbours, your teachers, your collegues, etc...Will you keep quiet when they are beside you and you have chance to speak about Jesus? Will you keep quiet when you see them walk straight to hell because they don't have Jesus in their life? Will you keep being selfish, only you alone who will go to heaven, while the others perish in hell? It is not good, my friends, to be separated with someone you love, is it?

Matthew 9:37-38

Then said he to his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few; Pray you therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest.

Take heart, Jesus loves you
