Mouse Trap = Temptation

My friends, have you ever seen mouse being trapped inside the cage? Won't you be happy when you see your trap works perfectly? What will you do then? If you want them to be clever and no more fall into your trap, you will release them. But I promise you that you will regret your decision later because they will not only be more aware but they will also teach their friends not to fall to the same trap. Most of you will try to kill them. You will make them drown, pour hot water on them, give them to their predators or poison them, you just want them to die and stop making havoc in your house, will you not? You will always try to trap them until you are convinced that all of them are already captured.

My friends, do you learn something? Do you think that this animal is stupid to fall into that simple trap and die just because 2 pieces of cheese? Do you think that this animal is so easily tempted and deserve to die for they can't control themselves? But before you judge them, do you realize the same situation also happen to us daily? Why don't we put ourselves in that mouse position?

In the cage, the mouse can still see the sun shines brightly, the trees bear fruit, the flowers blossom, etc. They can still see everything good outside, but they can't enjoy it for they are trapped and just wait for death to come. The same thing also happen with some of us. We can see everything good outside, we can forget our problems for awhile, we can ease ourselves for sometimes, we can eat our "little cheese" and be satisfied with it, but when we have finished enjoying all of them, we are also finished, we are dead meat, We are now under slavery of our pleasure, our flesh desire, our "cheese".

Some of us will begin to pity ourselves and regret why we fell into that temptation, some of us will never know that we are in our "imaginary heaven", in our "own paradise", heaven that never exist. We can't feel anything wrong with it, spirit of stupor already reigns over us. I am sorry for your eternity, devil has blinded your eyes.

Bible said, "When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death (James 1:13-15).

My friends, do you still remember the first time you ate your "cheese"? The first time you committed freesex, smoked cigarettes or weeds, used drugs, watched porn, did masturbation, etc? Do you know that since that time you have already been under mouse trap? Just because your girlfriend is so adorable, you have sex with her. Just because your friends mocked you when you did not smoke, you start to smoke with them. Just because you wanted your flesh to be satisfied, you watched porn and did masturbation.

At first, you had fear in your heart that your misdeeds will be known, but with time you became ignorant and don't care about the consequent anymore. You are now addicted to them, you can't live without them. You feel like dying if you don't have it. You tell me, my friends. Do you really feel free? Do you really feel that you are okay? Do you know that in the end, those things will bring you death? Don't you want to be released from that trap?

Do you feel like sitting in the chair but somebody tied you tightly and blinded your eyes? You want to move but you can't, you want to stand firm but you can't, you want to be free but you can't. You have tried your best to escape from that bondage but you can't. You wanted to do good but you can't do, instead what you hated to do, you kept on doing it. You have desire to do good, but you can't carry it out. Inside you, you delight in God's law, in righteousness and holiness, but you see another law at work in the members of your body, waging war against the law of your mind and making you a prisoner of the law of sin. So then, you yourself in your mind are a slave to God's law, but in the sinful nature a slave to the law of sin. Your behaviour is against your mind, and you can't do anything about it.

Yes, that mouse is stupid, doesn't have self-control, easily tempted, but can't you see the same situation happened to you now? Are you free from your addiction now? Are you not trapped under devil's trap? Will you keep your "cheese" until you die? Can't you see people around you who are free? Don't you want to have the same life like them?

Some of you have smoking addiction, you need to smoke every 15 minutes and every day you need to spend 5€ or even more to buy cigarettes. Do you realize that 5€ can give food to hungry people? They struggle for living but you struggle to satisfy your pleasure. Do you know that you are killing yourself slowly? See how your lungs, your health, your condition. If you think government, your parents are limiting your freedom by forbiding you to smoke, you should start thanking them. You are the ones who now under devil's trap, under slavery of satan. Free people do not smoke, but slave will smoke everytime their flesh ask for satisfication. They are under slavery of cigarettes. Can't you see that you are ruining yourself, my friends? In the end, it will bring you death.

Some of you want to be set free from your past, you were raped, you were abused, you were harmed, etc. You hate your life, your past. You came from broken home or bad environment to grow up, you hate people who have good and nice life, nice family, nice parents. You want them to feel your pain, to suffer the same feeling like you have. If you want to bring your hatred to your tomb and ruin yourself even more, please continue. But if you want to be set free, please learn from people who have found the truth. It is no use comparing your miseries with others, is it not? What is the advantage if you have more miserable life than the others, do you really proud of your miseries? Will you not be pitied more by people? You should be proud about how can you overcome your past and forgive the people who made you suffered. It takes great love and big heart to do that.

Some of you always think about working and money. You work more than 16 hours a day, 7 days a week, but still you never get enough. You like to gather and store up wealth, you pierce yourself with many griefs but you just don't care, you love money so much. My friends, if you want to bring your money to your tomb, please continue. But if you realize that you are under God's curse as the Bible said, "To the man who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God (Ecclesiastes 2:26), you better learn how to be content and to give more than to receive. Bible said, "Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income. This too is meaningless (Ecclesiastes 5:10)".

Do you know that money is like a trap that will drag you to the pitfall? The more you love them, the more they will blind your eyes. If you move forward one step toward them, they will move backward one step leading your to the pit and they will increase the temptation. Just like playing lotto totto, if nobody hit the number, they will double the prize for next week, then you will also begin to spend your money more until you are broke and has nothing left.

Again, you are ruining your life. Dishonest money dwindles away, but he who gathers money little by little makes it grow (Proverbs 13:11). Easy and instant money without hardwork and diligency is not God's way to earn money, you have to work for it, my friends. "If a man will not work, he shall not eat (2 Thessalonians 3:10)." God want you to be faithful in few things before He trust you with many things.

Some of you like using drugs or smoking weeds. You make the drug dealers getting richer and richer and you yourself is getting poorer and poorer. You have miserable life, you can't live as a normal person anymore. Your life depend so much on that drugs. The dealer will always increase the price higher and higher and once you don't have any money left, you will steal from people or you will work for them as transporter. From temptation to sin and it becomes death. See yourself on the mirror, what do you think of your own body and your life? Are you really the person you dream of when you were a child?

Some of you like to stay in front of your computer, wasting your time by playing online games or chatting unimportant things with people. You don't go to work, you just addicted to them and for the whole days, you just play and play. You abandon your study, your work, your family, your career, your future because you are under devil's trap, you are addicted to it.

Some of you are porn addicted. You like to have AV collections, you become so crazy about it. You put them on your secret place so that your parents or your children will not notice it. You lock your door, you put on your headset and you enjoy them. You can't do it openly because you are ashamed, but still, you think that's normal. Do you really think it is normal when you are now seeing people with lust? Each time you see nice woman or handsome man, you want to make love with him/her? Do you really think it is normal to have sex before married or to have sex with someone who is not your husband or wife? Go and tell Jesus if you think that's okay and let your words speak for you on the Judgment Day.

Because you always see girls with lust, you start to chase her like a dog on his marital period. You just want to make love with her then when you are fully satisfied you will go and find another woman. And when the woman felt that she was cheated and her feeling is so painful, she begin to despise men and want them to kneel down to her, she will try to make every man her slaves by using sex as driving force. Men want to make love with women, women want men to be their slaves, what a trade-off.

And because you don't want to be infected by AIDS virus or to be pregnant, you use condom and you think that you have "safe sex". Another lies and traps from devil. Don't you know that condom failure rate in preventing AIDS is 31% and in preventing pregnancy is 10-36% which mean 1 out of 10 "safe sex" will make the woman pregnant. Please read this scientific fact if you don't believe in the number I provided. What will you say if God forbid you to have sexual immorality or adultery? God limits your freedom or God is trying to prevent you to fall into devil's trap?

What will you do when you know that your girlfriend is pregnant, my brothers? Most of you will ask her to abort the baby, will you not? If only you remember your promise to her before you have sex with her, that even when the baby is born, you will take responsibility for her and her baby. Don't you see that you are a good liar, a hypocrite, my brothers? Most of you will threat her by giving no option, either abort the baby or lose you. What a selfish man you are. Some of you will even worse, you will deny that the baby is not yours. My brothers, if you don't want to have baby, don't have sex. Remember the condom failure rate, my brothers. Do you know that you are under Satan's slavery? Don't you want to escape from it?

And what will you do, sisters? I believe you will have great distress, dilemma because you can feel that his heart is beating next to yours, you can feel that life is formed inside your womb, you have connection with the baby because he becomes part of you. It would be hundred times more difficult for you to abort the baby than men to do that. But your childish boyfriend didn't give you option and you love him so much, you fear that except him, who can accept you anymore?

Sister, once you commited immorality, are you now planning to do murder? Are you beast or human being? Some of you choose to be a single parent because you can't kill your baby, some of you give the baby to the orphanage, some of you kill the baby. If you just think about yourself, you are so right, but how about the baby, how about his future? Do you know that the problem in our society is mostly come from broken family or rejected son or daughter? I think you don't even care about them, you don't even care about the victim of people's selfishness and childishness. What you care is your pleasure and your satisfication. You are trapped by the devil.

My friends, those are just few things about addiction, about devil's trap. If you want to continue living in sins, please do. I am here not to begging you to ask for mercy. I am not even start preaching. I just stating the facts. I am here to bring you the light so that you can see how dirty you are. If you realize that and want to be saved, peace be with you, if you refuse, your blood is upon your head. Easy and simple.

If you want to know the root of your problem, let me tell you. The problem lies in your heart. Do you have navel, my friends? If you have, that's good, it means that you are human, come from your mother's womb, not from the rock or the tree. That would always be a reminder that you had a very close relation with your mother, you ate what she ate, you felt what she felt.

The same thing also with your heart. Before men fell into sins, human and God always had fellowship together. God visited them and interacted with them. God wanted to have good relationship with His own creations. It happened until man commited sin and ruined all the good things between man and God. God is Holy, Holy, Holy, He can't tolerate any sins. He sent them out from His Presence and He cursed the man and his wife and his decendants for their sins.

As navel in your body mark your relationship with your mother, the hole in your heart also marks our past relationship with God. You can try by your own might to satisfy it: sex, drugs, cigarette, money, work, power, wisdom, etc. But you will end up with conclusion: everything is meaningless, a chasing after the wind, life without God is not life at all. That little hole can only be filled and fully satisfied by personal relationship with God.

If you want to recover your relationship with Him, if you want to be set free from the bondage and slavery of Satan, there is only one way. Repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed (John 8:36). Your chains, your bondage will be broken in the name of Jesus.

God sent His Word who became flesh, Jesus Christ, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness, being found in appearance as a man, He Himself suffered when He was tempted, yet without sin, so He is able to help those who are being tempted, like you and me. He loves you and want you to be saved. He wants you not to struggle alone but ask His help and put your trust in Him. He is God that by His Word the universe was made, He is able to help you if you let me. But He will not force you to let Him reign. He make us with wisdom and freewill, we are not robots who can be programmed. He wants us in our own decision to come and ask His help and if you do that, something will start to happen in your life. Almighty God will become your Father and you will be set free and full of joy. God loves you, my friends.

What you need to do is: go to your room, lock the door and start praying to your heavenly Father who is unseen and He will reward you. Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up (James 4:7-10).

You are His creations, you are naked in His eyes, He knows everything about you. He already knows your sins, your dark secrets, your everything, no need to ashame with Him. But He wants you to be honest with Him, to confess your sins and repent with all your heart. He wants you to start putting your trust in Him, have faith that He has sent His Son, Jesus Christ who died on the cross for our sins and raised up again on the third day. Believe that Jesus is able to help you, because you have tried by your own might, but still you can't help yourself, why don't you surrender all now?

The more you try to be independent, they more you ruin your life. Can't you see your life now? How bad it is? Are you not tired of your life? How old are you? Just imagine if you need to spend another 40 more years living like this, will you be strong enough to make it all about yourself? Why don't you just surrender all and allow Him to reign in your heart and your life?

If you really mean it, if your heart really submit to Him and surrender all, it is not the moment of magic but it is true, God will supranaturally take the guilt, the burden, the condemnation in your heart. For the very first time you will find your peace, peace that this world can't give you. Peace that you have reconciled with your Creator, peace that God is no more angry with you, peace that you are no more God's enemy. Salvation is a gift, faith is a gift, repentance is a gift, God will not give it to the proud, boastful, selfish people, but only to humble ones, who have faith like a little child.

If you have not received it yet, you are not yet there, you are still enemies of God. Keep struggling in faith with Him and confessing your sins until He is satisfied and He will pour out His Spirit on you and give you a new heart, a new life. You are truly genuine born again not because of the doctrine of the church, but because God's approval in your life, deep conviction is your proof.

Just remember that once you are able to escape from devil's trap, devil will try to hunt you even more, he doesn't want to tell to your friends about his devises and he will try as much as he can to make sure you will fall again. Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen (1 Peter 5:8-11). May the Lord bless you.
